    THE 2025 VINTAGE

Following a normal winter weather pattern, budburst began at the usual time for our area. A rainy early spring favoured shoot growth and provided the soils with good water reserves. June was dry and, in the last days of the month, saw temperatures well above average. July was dry with temperatures significantly below average, which favoured photosynthetic activity and brought forward véraison. August was scorching, with heatwaves that, thanks to good ventilation, caused no damage. From the last days of August and throughout September, significant rainfall interspersed with dry, sunny days saved the grapes from the risk of over-ripening. Sangiovese and Merlot were harvested early to preserve freshness and acidity.

    TASTING NOTES

    THE 2024 VINTAGE

The mild winter and an extraordinarily warm April slightly brought forward budburst. The months of May and June, which were rainy and with below-average temperatures, were followed by a July and August with temperatures so high as to inhibit photosynthesis, preventing any acceleration in ripening. Sangiovese and Merlot were harvested early to preserve freshness and acidity.
