Il Borgo Hotel

The ancient stone hamlet, which was established in the 1700s in the shadow of the walls and towers of Poggio alle Mura Castle to house peasants who worked for the noble owners, now houses the luxurious rooms and suites of this jewel of Italian hospitality.

The rooms

Each of the ample 12 suites and 2 rooms is distinctly designed and original, embellished and decorated by hand, with premium fabrics and exclusive accessories which underline the inherent elegance of Il Borgo.

  • Supreme refinement and Tuscan elegance for the Deluxe Riserva with the resplendant Tuscan countryside panorama.

    With 40 square meters/430 square feets it offers a fascinating and roomy setting which includes the bedroom with an ample king size bed (200 cm x 200 cm), a Tuscan style armoire with drawers and a spacious bathroom with a rainfall shower, heated towel rack and double vanity.

    Every Junior Suite enjoys an extraordinary view of Castello Banfi’s Borgo or the resplendent Tuscan countryside.

  • Elegance, comfort and refinement in Tuscan style characterize the Junior Suites.

    The range of our Junior Suites is from 56 sq mt to 65 sq mt/603 sq ft to 699 sq ft, included a large bedroom with king size bed (200 x 200 cm/79" x 79"), a Tuscan style wardrobe and dresser, separate living room with a sofa bed, bathroom with heated towel racks, double vanity and large walk-in rain-fall shower.

    Every Junior Suite enjoys an extraordinary view of Castello Banfi’s Borgo or the resplendent Tuscan countryside.

  • An extremely comfortable room, measuring about 66-76 sq ft , in which the large and elegant bedroom with comfortable double bed (200 x 200 cm), a Tuscan-style closet with chest of drawers, and a living room equipped with a sofa bed are located.

    The bathroom has heated towel racks, double sink and large walk-in rain-fall shower.

    From the suite windows you can admire the breathtaking view pf the Tuscan countryside.

  • Divided between a spacious bedroom with a double bed (200 x 200 cm) and a separate area with comfortable seating, a large Tuscan-style closet with a dresser, and a comfy sofa bed, the suite measures about 110 sq m (360.89 ft). Delicate fabrics and materials embellish the room, equipped with two bathrooms, a waterfall shower, and two washbasins. From its windows, you can enjoy not only some of the enchanted corners of Il Borgo but also the splendid view of the vineyards and the Tuscan countryside.

  • Trekking

    Brunello Trailer: (circa 8 Km. – 2/3 hs – easy)

    A route from Montalcino through the vineyards and wineries of Brunello.

    Mountain Bike Tour

    Admire breathtaking landscape riding a mountain bike or e-bike.

  • Our journey into Beauty includes two key stops that will take you to the heart of local tradition. The first is a visit to one of the finest oil mills in the area where, surrounded by the hills of the Val d'Orcia, you can taste three different varieties of extra virgin olive oil, accompanied by an aperitif with Tuscan specialties.

    The second stage, even more unique, involves truffle hunting in a private reserve. Here, you will learn the secrets of this ancient tradition and enjoy a typical Tuscan lunch that will enhance the genuine flavors of the land.

    extra virgin olive oil tour and tasting

    Discover one of Tuscany's most prestigious products, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, by enjoying a visit to a local olive mill and experiencing the authentic flavors of the Val d'Orcia. The experience, lasting about an hour and a half, includes:

    • Guided tour of the olive mill and tasting of 3 olive oils
    • aperitif with cheese, honey, bruschetta and Montecucco wine

    The oil mill is located about 15 minutes from the hotel. Upon request, private transportation service is available at an extra cost.

    TRUFFLE HUNTING

    A wonderful adventure in a private truffle land, learning how to identify the different species of tees, the ideal habitat for the truffles growth with a professional guide. The experience includes a 1 hour of truffle hunting and a Tuscan lunch.
