THE 2024 VINTAGE
The mild winter and an extraordinarily warm April slightly brought forward bud break. May and June were rainy, with below-average temperatures. July and an August reached temperatures so high as to inhibit photosynthesis and delay ripening. In the first few days of September, temperatures suddenly dropped below average and were accompanied by frequent rain, which did not affect the quality of the grapes yet to be harvested. Harvesting of the Chardonnay began on the twenty-sixth of August.

THE 2022 VINTAGE
The growing season started at the usual time after a winter typical of our areas, with minimum temperatures below freezing in the first three months of the year. Budburst occurred a few days ahead of the local standards. The first four months of the year were characterised by below-average rainfall, with about 170 mm from January to April. Spring was characterised by a dry climate with temperatures a few degrees above the seasonal average, especially in May. In summer, the lack of rain and torrid temperatures marked the months of June, July and much of August: a climatic trend that led to an earlier harvest for the white varieties, in order to preserve aromas and acidity; the Chardonnay harvest began on 19 August.
