    THE 2023 VINTAGE

Winter was mild, with temperatures slightly above the seasonal averages. The first four months of the year saw slightly lower rainfall than the average for the period. In May and June, precipitation was extremely abundant, reaching two hundred millimeters of accumulated rainfall and twenty-eight days of rain out of sixty. After the first summer months, providentially, the climatic pattern underwent a radical change with excellent sunshine and high temperatures. September was characterized by above-average temperatures and abundant northerly winds with almost no rain.

    TASTING NOTES

A complex aroma characterized by hints of blueberry and black currant, accompanied by delicate notes of tobacco and licorice. Soft, with sweet and elegant tannins, it is a balanced wine, persistent on the finish and with great aging potential.

    THE 2022 VINTAGE

2022 was a year marked by a particular drought that began as early as late winter and lasted for a large part of the summer. A decisive turning point came in mid-August, when the first in a series of thunderstorms occurred, which proved to be providential for the most crucial period of grape ripening. Cabernet Sauvignon showed that it knew how to react very positively, resisting the initial lack of water on the one hand and metabolising the rainfall in the best and quickest way possible on the other, ultimately allowing for optimal ripening.
