THE 2023 VINTAGE
The winter was mild, with temperatures slightly above seasonal averages. In the first few days of April, spells of returning cold caused marginal damage to bud burst in the earliest varieties such as Merlot. In the first four months of the year, rainfall was slightly below average. In May and June, precipitation was extremely heavy, with an accumulation of two hundred millimetres and twenty-eight days of rain out of sixty. Once the early summer months had passed, providentially, the weather pattern underwent a radical change with excellent sunshine and high temperatures. September was characterised by above-average temperatures and strong northern winds with an almost total absence of rain. Merlot harvesting began on the fifteenth of September, that of Cabernet Sauvignon on the twenty-second, while Petit Verdot was harvested on the sixteenth of October.
TASTING NOTES
With a deep mauve-red colour, the nose reveals notes of bilberry, blackcurrant and cherry accompanied by aromas of liquorice and tobacco. On the palate, the structure is ample and enveloping, with well-polished tannins. It is a balanced and persistent wine on the finish, with great ageing potential.

THE 2022 VINTAGE
The growing season began at the usual time following a winter typical of our areas, with minimum temperatures below freezing in the first three months of the year. Budburst occurred a few days early. The first four months of the year were less rainy than usual, with about one hundred and seventy millimetres from January to April. In spring, the weather was dry with temperatures a few degrees above the seasonal average, especially in May. In summer, the lack of rainfall and scorching temperatures characterised the months of June, July and much of August. In the red varieties, thanks to the rainfall at the end of August and early September, no grape dehydration was observed, and the good temperature ranges favoured excellent aromatic synthesis and preserved acidity. Harvesting of Merlot, the earliest variety in this blend, began on the second of September, while the later Petit Verdot concluded the harvest on the twenty-ninth of September.
TASTING NOTES

2016
THE 2016 VINTAGE
The mild winter period, with regular rainfall, favoured an earlier budburst. The spring months were rather rainy with a drop in temperatures at the end of April, which slowed down vegetative development, bringing it back to normal. From the second half of June, and throughout the month of July, there was a gradual rise in temperatures. Temperatures without extremes, with excellent diurnal temperature ranges, and sporadic rainfall in August allowed for the perfect ripening of the grapes. In September, temperatures were quite high with excellent diurnal temperature ranges. In the middle of the month, a few days of heavy rain threatened to compromise the harvest, but the sudden improvement in the weather in the following days, the technical and cultivation work carried out in the vineyards, and the careful selection of the grapes, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, enabled us to harvest the grapes at their utmost potential.
TASTING NOTES
The result is a wine with excellent potential. On the nose, the aroma is characterised by hints of red fruits with a particular intensity of cherry, accompanied by spicy notes of liquorice and pepper. The structure is full-bodied, with sweet and powerful tannins, very well balanced and persistent on the finish.

THE 2014 VINTAGE
The growing season began slightly early with a spring characterized by very wet months. Temperatures in the summer months were cool and well below seasonal averages, never reaching the levels of previous vintages; weather events and temperatures delayed ripening by about 10 days. A cool start to September, but not disturbed by significant rainfall, allowed us to harvest grapes without major problems. In the last decade of the month, temperatures rose, allowing the grapes to complete ripening
Vintage with not a few problems due to the climatic trend in which the selection operations carried out both in the vineyard and in the cellar allowed us to obtain wines endowed with great varietal typicality.
TASTING NOTES
Intense and deep mauve red color; extremely rich in fruit and spice with notes of plum and blackberry jam as well as hints of vanilla and licorice. The body is ample with sweet, important tannins. Great elegance and harmony, a wine for long aging.

THE 2013 VINTAGE
The growing cycle began with a significant delay, with some rains during the Spring. June was marked by cooler temperatures, under the seasonal average. August and September were hot and dry, but the ripening, despite two weeks delay, have been supported by water reserves of the previous months. Summer nights were characterized by cooler temperatures, contributing to the improvement of the quality of the grapes. From the end of September, rainfall was abundant, causing problems during the repining, without affecting the vineyards.
Non-hot vintage that led to a gradual and harmonious ripening of the grapes so as to favor varietal characteristics and freshness of aromas.

The growing cycle began in the usual time frame, with dry weather in April and May. June was marked by cooler temperature and a lack of rainfall. Summer saw a return to regular avarage temperatures in July through mid-August, when a sudden heat wave raised temperatures over 40°C (104°F) through the end of the month. A sun-drenched September, with normal average temperatures, allowed for a good harvest.
TASTING NOTES
Very hot vintage that favored concentration of structure rather than freshness of aromas, yet surprising varietal typicity.

The growing season began on the usual schedule, and spring was characterized by mild and dry April and May; cool and rainfall-free June; sunshine until the second decade of July and then followed copious rainfall with consequent lowering of temperatures; cool beginning of August but from the middle of the month an anticyclonic area of African origin took over, resulting in torrid temperatures well above the average for the period, which lasted for two weeks; the consequence was heavy water stress that accelerated ripening times. September and October sunny and dry with very warm temperatures.
TASTING NOTES
The warm weather in the final part of August contributed greatly to a more important structure and aromatic profile with richer veretal expressions.

The start of the growing season was slightly delayed, with abundant spring rainfall and temperatures in May and June well below the seasonal average. The weather was warm and dry from mid-June through August, when temperatures dropped again. Cool nights helped the development of aromatics and the synthesis of polyphenols in the grapes, enhancing the overall quality of the bouquet and the wine's acidity. Scarce rainfall allowed for ideal harvest conditions.
TASTING NOTES
The 'lowering of temperatures during August favored greater aromatic synthesis giving rise to intense aromas.

THE 2004 VINTAGE
The year began with regular vegetative activity, characterized by good spring precipitation that helped replenish the water table. The summer, compared to the last few past ones, was cooler and, what is more important, temperature ranges between day and night were much higher. In particular, the latter aspect benefited a more gradual and balanced ripening than in 2003.
The excellent insolation, good water and thermal availability resulted in perfect sugar and polyphenolic ripening, so that at the time of harvest the skins were sufficiently soft and available to release color; the large temperature ranges between night and day favored the synthesis of varietal aromas.
TASTING NOTES
