THE 2023 VINTAGE
The winter was mild, with temperatures slightly above seasonal averages. The first few days of April were characterised by cold snaps causing some damage to bud burst, which only marginally affected the Sangiovese. The first four months of the year saw rainfall slightly below the period's averages. In May and June, precipitation was extremely heavy, reaching two hundred millimetres of cumulative rain and twenty-eight rainy days out of sixty. Once the first summer months were over, providentially, the weather pattern underwent a radical change with excellent sunshine and high temperatures. September was characterised by above-average temperatures and strong northern breezes with an almost complete absence of rain.
TASTING NOTES
Mallow red colour; complex aroma recalling both notes of plum and blackberry jam and spicy hints of liquorice, vanilla and leather. Excellent structure, with soft and balanced tannins. Long and savoury on the finish.

2022
THE 2022 VINTAGE
The growing season has begun as usual after a typical winter period in our areas with minimum temperatures below zero during the first three months of the year. The sprouting took place a few days earlier than the standards of the territory. The first four months of the year were characterized by below-average rainfall with about one hundred and seventy mm from January to April. Spring was characterized by a dry climate with temperatures of some degrees above the seasonal average, especially in the month of May. In summer, the lack of rainfall and torrid temperatures marked the months of June, July and much of August; climatic trend that has led to an advance of the harvest time of whites. In the red varieties, thanks to the rains of late August and early September, there was no dehydration of the grapes and the good temperature ranges favored a beautiful aromatic and acidic synthesis. The harvest of red varieties began in early September, the Sangiovese about two weeks later, ending the harvest in mid-October with late varieties.
TASTING NOTES
Intense mauve red color; complex perfume that recalls both the notes of plum and blackberry jam and spicy hints of leather. Excellent structure, with soft and balanced tannins. Long and savory on the finish.

2021
THE 2021 VINTAGE
Spring rains that have well replenished the aquifers so that the water has never been lacking during the hot summer months. A very hot month of July favored the conditions for an excellent ripening followed by a hot August, but with excellent temperature variations between day and night, a factor that greatly benefited the quality of the grapes, both in the aromas of whites and for the synthesis of red polyphenols. A rare beauty September, sunny and dry with warm temperatures that allowed us to complete the ripening and harvest in optimal conditions.
TASTING NOTES
Hot summer that favored a slight overripening and gave aromas and structure, without reducing the varietal intake. Deep and young mauve red color; complex aroma that recalls both the varietal notes of plum and blackberry jam and hints derived from aging, such as licorice, vanilla and a hint of leather. Excellent structure, soft, well sized; excellent balance; well long in the finish.

2019
THE 2019 VINTAGE
The extraordinarily cold weather in April and May caused a delay in the growing season, which was recuperated later, thanks to a warm and dry period. The sudden rise in temperature then favored the production of sparse and light grape bunches. August and September, sunny and without torrid temperatures, allowed for an optimal ripening of the grapes. A harvest which will go down in history, with grapes of high quality and an intense territorial personality which gave us wines with great structure and sapidity.

THE 2016 VINTAGE
The seasonal trend of the 2016 vintage in Chianti Classico was characterized by a rather regular growth cycle, interrupted by a drop in temperature which slowed down the development of budding. In general, thanks to technical and cultivation management, the harvest took place in optimal conditions and allowed to achieve excellent results in the cellar. These conditions gave us balanced and well-structured wines.
