    THE 2024 VINTAGE

Expression of the meeting between the international vines implanted in the area of Montalcino.

    TASTING NOTES

The mild winter and an unusually warm April slightly advanced bud break. May and June were rainy, with temperatures below average, followed by July and August marked by such high temperatures that photosynthesis was inhibited and ripening delayed. In the first days of September, temperatures suddenly dropped below average and were accompanied by frequent rainfall. This unusual seasonal pattern resulted in wines that are less alcoholic and concentrated, yet with surprisingly refined tannins. The Merlot harvest began on September 6th, Cabernet Sauvignon on September 25th, and Cabernet Franc on October 7th.

Deep red, elegant and with intense hints. On the nose, sweet notes of plum jam and blackberries are accompanied by hints of licorice, cocoa and tobacco. Powerful and soft structure, characterized by sweet and elegant tannins. Long and persistent finish. Long-aging wine perfect with soups, and red and white meats.

    THE 2023 VINTAGE

Expression of the meeting between the international vines implanted in the area of Montalcino.

    TASTING NOTES

The vegetative season has started in the usual times after a typical winter period of our areas with minimum temperatures below zero in the first three months of the year. The sprouting occurred a few days before the standards of the territory. The first four months of the year were characterized by lower-than-average rainfall with about one hundred and seventy millimeters from January to April. Spring was characterized by a dry climate with temperatures of some degrees above the seasonal average, especially in May. In summer, the lack of rain and the hot temperatures marked the months of June, July, and most of August. In the red varieties, thanks to the rains of late August and early September, there were no dehydrations of the grapes and the good temperature variations favored a nice aromatic and acidic synthesis. The harvest of the grapes began on September 6th with Merlot and ended on October 3rd with Cabernet Franc.

The pink note of the Centine family: an excellent balance between versatility and impressive aromatic expression.

    TASTING NOTES

The mild winter temperatures and low rainfall allowed the vines to begin the growing cycle within the standard timeframe. During the night of April 8, some vineyards were hit by a late frost, which delayed the phenological phases of the vines. However, thanks to mild temperatures and sunny days in the spring, the vines were able to regain their growth and production balance, reaching excellent ripening during the following months. The harvest began slightly later than usual, but the continuous ventilation and good temperature fluctuations in August and September allowed the grapes to develop excellent acidity with very interesting aromatic profiles.

The color is deep red with light ruby nuances. The aromas are very complex, with hints of coffee, tobacco, blackberry and cherry jam. In the mouth the structure is powerful, warm and chewy, with a greatly enjoyable and pleasant vanilla notes in the end. It is a surely persistent and well-dimensioned wine, which is enjoyable since now and with a great potential of aging.

    THE 2016 VINTAGE

Expression of the meeting between the Sangiovese, an emblematic vine of Montalcino and the peculiarities of the international vines implanted in this area.

    TASTING NOTES

The mild winter, with regular rainfall, encouraged an early bud break. The spring was rather wet with a drop in temperatures at the end of April, which slowed down the vegetative development, bringing it back to normal. From mid-June, and throughout the month of July, there was a gradual rise in temperatures. In August, the excellent temperature range and sporadic rain allowed for the perfect ripening of the grapes. In September, the temperatures were quite high with an excellent temperature range. Mid-month, a few days of abundant rain risked compromising the harvest result, but the sudden weather improvement of the following days, the technical and cultivation interventions carried out in the vineyards and the careful selection of the grapes (both in the vineyard and in the winery) enabled to harvest the Sangiovese at its best expression.

The growing cycle began with a significant delay, with some rains during the Spring. June was marked by cooler temperatures, under the seasonal average. August and September were hot and dry, but the ripening, despite two weeks'delay, have been supported by water reserves of the previous months. It is a surely persistent and well-dimensioned wine, which is enjoyable since now and with a great potential of aging.
