Jazz & Wine in Montalcino 2025: music, wine, and unforgettable emotions under the stars

From July 22 to 27, 2025, one of Tuscany’s most anticipated summer events returns: Jazz & Wine in Montalcino.

Now in its 28th edition, the festival was born from the collaboration between Banfithe Rubei family of Rome’s Alexanderplatz Jazz Club and the Municipality of Montalcino, uniting the excellence of wine and music in an enchanting and evocative setting.

The program features six unmissable evenings between the Fortress of Montalcino and Castello Banfi, with leading names from the Italian and international jazz scene, along with some forays into pop music:

  • Kenny Barron Trio
  • Enrico Pieranunzi Trio
  • Malika Ayane
  • Nicola Piovani Orchestra – “Note a margine”
  • Latin Mood con Fabrizio Bosso & Javier Girotto
  • Avishai Cohen Quartet

The concert by Nicola Piovani stands out as one of the most meaningful moments of this edition, organized in collaboration with WineNews, which strongly advocated for the Maestro’s presence in Montalcino. “The idea is to share a message of culture, beauty, harmony, and peace,” emphasize Alessandro Regoli and Irene Chiari, founders of WineNews, “through a special evening of music, in a space and time that are meaningful to WineNews, with one of the greatest maestros in the world.”

All concerts begin at 21:45.
