A focus on Heritage

Entitled “Heritage. The frontier of value between terroir and storytelling”, the 2025 edition explores the significance of historical, genetic, and cultural heritage in the wine world. The past becomes a strategic lever for building a contemporary narrative around Sangiovese, through a program combining lectures, case studies, guided tastings, and insights from international experts.

A rich and multidisciplinary program

Over the five-day course, participants will hear from leading voices in academia, scientific research, viticulture, and marketing. Key topics include:

  • viticultural vocation and vineyard zoning;

  • grape genetics and varietal improvement;

  • sustainability and vineyard innovation;

  • storytelling and wine communication.

Sessions will be held at both the OCRA center and the Castle of Poggio alle MuraBanfi’s historic estate, where participants will enjoy an immersive experience among vineyards, winery, and territory.

A unique educational opportunity

Led by Attilio Scienza (President) and Alberto Mattiacci (Director), the Summer School is a benchmark for training young professionals in the wine industry, encouraging continuous dialogue between research, business, and culture.
