Dominated by a fortress and an ancient medieval village, the Castello Banfi estate stands on an area of 2,830 hectares family-run in Castello di Poggio alle Mura on the hills of Val d’Orcia, near Siena. Here the Mariani family, owner since 1978, is passionately dedicated to the pursuit of excellence for the prestigious production of Brunello di Montalcino, strictly inspired by values of sustainability. A transport that pushes them to offer their guests an elegant and warm welcome like that of a home, and the explosion of flavors of the best Tuscan cuisine: “With its restaurants, the Enoteca and the Balsameria, the Borgo offers to the guests the opportunity of a fully involvement in the Tuscan wine and food traditions. At Relais & Châteaux we found a network of families and entrepreneurs driven by our own love for the land, by the desire to tell it and share it with guests” - comments Cristina Mariani-May, CEO & Owner.
