(Montalcino, May 25, 2011) - Brunello di Montalcino Castello Banfi Poggio alle Mura, triumphed in the competition for native grapes “Perfect Wines 2011” that is organized every year by VitignoItalia.
The competition, in line with the philosophy of the exhibition and using a double jury, awards the best wines from Italian native grapes. A committee of experts AIS Sommelier performed in the days preceding VitignoItalia, rigorously with a blind tasting of 300 wines. The jury then selected 20 wines, one for each variety, relying on visitors the final verdict. The jury therefore evaluated the wines for tasting in flavor and pleasantness decreeing at the end the “Perfect wines” of VitignoItalia 2011.
A double achievement for Castello Banfi Poggio alle Mura 2005, which was selected before by the technical jury and then it was well appreciated by wine lovers.
