Officially presented at Vinitaly 2013, Banfis new Vermentino has met with immediate impact and unanimous acclaim. Innovative packaging; expressive yet original and pleasing flavor; just right for informal occasions; it is perfect for the upcoming summer season.
Banfi is buzzing with excitement over the arrival of its newest wine, marking a new and significant voyage into unexplored territories. A Vermentino which ideally expresses the winning combination of tradition and innovation, the motivating factor behind
Banfi in the world of Tuscan wines.
To produce La Pettegola Vermentino, Banfi selected optimal grapes from the Tuscan coast, then gently pressed them for temperature controlled fermentation in stainless steel to preserve the freshest aroma of the grape.
Tasting notes reveal a Vermentino with great aromatic expression, rich and delicate, with expected aromas of apricot and grapefruit, but also flowers and spices typi
cal of the Mediterranean countryside. On the palate the wien is surprising for its fullness and a vivacious acidity, which endows it with pleasingly fresh character. An outstanding aperitif, we can also enjoy this wine with flavorful fish dishes, especially shell fish, as well well as vegetable based dishes. It should be best enjoyed at about 48°F. “Our desire is to offer a Vermentino that is friendly and pleasing,” said Banfi winemaker Rudy Buratti, “appealing to all wine lovers, from the most expert to the newest arrivals to this wondrous world. La Pettegola, with its innovative and attractive packaging, is dedicated esclusively to traditional channels, and is ideal for a variety of informal occasions that present themselves during the beautiful summer season.”
