INNISKILLIN CAPTURES TOP AWARD “PREMIO SPECIALE GRAN VINITALY 2009”

Verona, Italy –

InniskillinandBruce Nicholson, Director of Inniskillin Winemakingare very pleased to announce the exciting news of winning the top award at the17thInternational Wine CompetitionatVinitaly 2009.

In order to qualify and capture thisGran Vinitaly Awardthe wines must have received the highest score based upon two Gold Medals obtained in two different categories. The two categories were Sparkling Wines and Sweet Wines.

Donald Ziraldo, Inniskillin Cofounder, will be attending the Vinitaly Award’s Ceremony on April 2ndto accept the award on behalf ofBruce Nicholson.

Vinitaly 2009reconfirms that it is the most selective event of its kind in the world, noting that only 113 medals were awarded this year out of 3,539 entries.  This included 34 countries and judged by an international panel of 105 judges. 

The Icewines are available internationally and in Duty Free and can be found in 68 countries around the world.
