BANFI HAS BEEN CALLED TO PRESENT A SELECTION OF ITS WINES IN THE HALL OF NEW HOLLAND AGRICULTURE AT EXPO 2015 THAT WILL BE HELD IN MILAN FROM MAY 1 TO OCTOBER 31 2015. IN THE NAME OF THE MUTUAL AIM FOR PRODUCING HIGH QUALITY IN HARMONY WITH THE NATURE
(Montalcino, April 9, 2015) – Banfi has been called to present a selection of its wines in the hall of New Holland Agriculture at Expo Milano 2015. The two leading companies share the same main commitment: sustainability and quality.
First Italian winery to complete the path of certifications in 2006, year in which it received the SA8000, since ever Banfi focuses its production on low-impact and eco-balanced farming by maintaining the biodiversity. In addition, it is strongly committed to controlling soil erosion and water conservation.
Besides of taking advantage of the Bio-Bed for the equipment washing water treatment, which decontaminates the residues by making them biodegradable, Banfi promotes the use of lighter bottles, with considerable environmental benefits in terms of energy savings, and reduced of CO2emissions in the atmosphere. Most recently, thanks to an agreement with Repower, Banfi completed the transition from conventional to renewable energy sources, contributing to the reduction of CO2emissions.
Program membership ECOBraud of New Holland, based on the use of New Holland machines for viticulture, including specific Braud tractors and harvesters, allowed Banfi to reduce by 10% the carbon footprint of every single bottle of wine produced, by limiting significantly the quantity of CO₂ in the atmosphere.
