On November 18, Castello Banfi Wine Resort hosted one of the Wines & Chef Symposium shows for a surprising ten-handed dinner. The event featured the renowned Chefs of some of the most famous Italian restaurants, all belonging to the prestigious Relais & Châteaux association.
Symposium of Wines & Chef was born thanks to the collaboration of Domenico Francone, Chef of La Sala dei Grappoli of Castello Banfi Wine Resort, with Alessandro Negrini and Fabio Pisani of Il posto di Aimo and Nadia, Valeria Piccini di Caino, Ivan Ruocco of Hotel Bellevue Syrene, Egon Heiss of Castel Fragsburg. Before, Domenico Francone was a guest of the other chefs at their restaurants.
At the Castello Banfi Wine Resort event, each chef tried their hand at a dish for a sophisticated five-course menu, accompanied by a prestigious selection of Banfi wines.
Relais & Châteaux, founded in 1954, brings together luxury hotels and restaurants that belong to and are managed by independent entrepreneurs - in most cases, families - united by the passion for their profession and the desire to establish an authentic bond with guests. Castello Banfi Wine Resort is one of the very few Italian residences of the Association that boast their wine production and collect and return the history, passion, and culture of the region where they operate.
The evening's program was enriched by a conversation of the guests with Gabriele Gorelli MW: Fine Wine & Fine Dining. During the activity, the relationships between wine and high-quality food were explored, with the Chefs as protagonists, through their connection, and their dishes, with the wine world.
