Wine lovers no longer have to wait until they land in Italy to enjoy the best that Tuscany has to offer. In fact, they don’t have to travel to Italy at all! Castello Banfi is proud to announce that three of its wines will be served by three top European airlines in the course of 2010.
Starting October 1 through December 31, BelnerO, a terroir-driven, predominantly Sangiovese-based red and the latest addition to the Castello Banfi family of wines, will be offered to Aer Lingus passengers traveling Business Class on transatlantic flights.
“BelnerO is the first new launch from Castello Banfi in over a decade” says Cristina Mariani-May, family proprietor. “We are just thrilled that it has been so well received and will be enjoyed by those traveling near and far”
Also this year, high flyers in British Airways’ international first class can look forward to enjoying a glass (or two!) of Castello Banfi Brunello di Montalcino. Wine selections for British Airways are made by Jancis Robinson, MW, one of the world’s best-known wine critics.
Furthermore Korean Air has recently selected, for its Business Class on board service, the prestigious Fontanelle, a 100% Chardonnay which belongs to Castello Banfi estate-bottled single-varietals range.
